The Rolex Submariner ref. 168000, nicknamed ‘triple zero’, is one of the rarer models you can collect from the submariner line. As a transitional model, it’s a piece which saw the end of the 168.. references and the beginning of the 16610 references. The reference 168000 was made for a very short period of time between 1987-1988 for an estimated 7-9 months. Considered to be a very rare piece on account of its short run and the improvements made to the watch. One of these upgrades was the stainless-steel they used on the case and bracelet, prior to this model Rolex were using grade 316L, the 168000 was produced in grade 904L.
