The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Zephyr line was first produced during the mid-1950s. The first was the ref. 6582 which sported the cal. 1030 movement. As far as vintage Oyster Perpetuals go, a Zephyr is hard to beat. The Zephyr we have here is a ref. 1038 which has the iconic sector or hairline dial with a gold crown and the distinctive bezel.

The champagne hairline dial is in fantastic condition with all lume plot hour markers in place and clearly defined detail and type. The dial is marked ‘T SWISS T’ below the 6 o’clock hour marker. The watch is fitted with gold ‘paddle’ hands with a sweeping second hand. The 34mm stainless-steel and gold case is fitted with the iconic Zephyr bezel and a gold screw down Rolex crown. The case has some light pitting on the right top and bottom lugs. House behind the case back is an automatic Rolex movement which is running well. The watch is paired with a black leather strap.
